About the Instructors

Abby White

Abby White has more than 15 years experience riding, showing, and training horses. She gives both Western and English riding lessons and trains horses for a variety of disciplines. Her expertise is in both Western and English All-Around events, but she enjoys all types of riding. During the show season, Abby spends her weekends coaching students and doing a little bit of showing herself.

Abby has degrees in Animal Science and Ag Communications from Kansas State. She placed in the Top 5 at the AQHA World Show in horse judging. She has trained numerous AQHA-point earners and local circuit winners.

Rachel Sherck

Rachel Sherck has been instructing beginning to advanced riders for almost ten years. Her students have competed in 4-H, open and breed shows. Rachel has trained and shown numerous paint horses to APHA titles in Western Pleasure, was the 2005 winner of the Kansas 4-H Two-Year-Old Snaffle bit Futurity, and continues to compete at the breed show level. However, Rachel enjoys broadening her horsemanship horizons, and has attended clinics and taken lessons herself in dressage, reining, working cowhorse and hunter jumper. Despite her varied interests, her expertise remains stock-type All-Around. Rachel was a member of the Division I Kansas State University Equestrian Team and the 2007 Kansas State World Champion Collegiate Horse Judging Team. In the Lawrence and Kansas City area, Rachel offers Western and English riding lessons for students with competitive goals as well as those interested in establishing a strong foundation in general equitation.
